Dante Alighieri Society of Santa Cruz Scholarship

Dante Alighieri annually presents at least one $1,000 scholarship to a continuing or transfer student who is studying Italian language, art history or history at Cabrillo College.
In 2019, Dante Alighieri awarded two scholarships of $1000 each.

2019 Scholarship Recipients

The Dante Alighieri Society of Santa Cruz is proud to award two $1,000 scholarships for the 2019-20 school year to Cabrillo students of Italian language, Valentin Barbosa and Alondra Salcedo. Valentin (see photo), a native of Argentina, will transfer to a four-year university to study linguistics, which includes continuing his pursuit of Italian. Alondra also plans to transfer to continue her Italian studies as a minor to an anthropology major with an emphasis on Italian culture.
